Etna and Winery Excursion

Etna, called “A Muntagna” by the Sicilians, is the highest active volcano in Europe.

Etna&Winery is a private tour organized by SB Transfer that will take you to the discovery of lava flows, legends, caves and endemic vegetation, but also of fine wines, exported all over the world due to the characteristics of the Etna soil where the vines grow, all this together with one of our nature guides who will accompany you during your excursion.  

Along the road that leads to Rifugio Sapienza, a former alpine refuge located at an altitude of 1,910 meters above sea level, we will stop at the lava flow of 1992 which arrived close to the  town of Zafferana and, subsequently, we will head to a panoramic point where it will be possible to admire the Valle del Bove, which will allow us to understand the evolution of this fantastic volcano.

We will then visit the Silvestri Craters, old volcanic cones easily accessible from the road, thus reaching an altitude of 2000 meters, and a lava flow cave equipped with a torch and a helmet.
